From 10 to 14 March, our consortium member IT Center is offering an HPC workshop week

It will be about parallel programming for engineers with ‘High Performance Computing’ reference and Machine & Deep Learning

HPC-Workshop Parallele Programmierung in Computational Engineering and Science (PPCES)

(Parallel programming in computer-aided engineering)

This one-week event continues the tradition of the previous annual one-week events of the NHR4CES, which have been held in Aachen every spring since 2001. It will cover the basics of parallel programming with OpenMP (Open Multi-Processing) andMPI (Message Passing Interface) in Fortran and C/C++ and a first step towards performance tuning. In addition, we will take up current topics from the field of Machine & Deep Learning. Practical exercises will be offered for each topic.

NHR4CES - National High Performance Computing for Computational Engineering Science

The contents of the courses are generally applicable, but will be specialised to the compute cluster CLAIX, the current system of the RWTH Computing Centre. It is recommended to read through the information that will be provided during the HPC introduction on 3 and 4 March 2025. This applies in particular if you want to use CLAIX after this event.

When: From 10 - 14 March 2025, from 9:00 - 17:00 each day

Where: IT Centre, Kopernikusstraße 6, 52074 Aachen
